Excitement to an absolute majority syndrome, so could be subtitled this new partial presentation of the collection of the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo. The enthusiasm, as he defined by José Luis Brea in a popular exhibition of the same title in which presentation text pointed to two important moments in the Spanish art of the time (1972-1992): the mid-postconceptual 70 and "anti-formalist" late period 80. The new figuration, described as return to the order, was the period defined as enthusiastically. However, be a second reading in key policy and that is that somehow follow in this sample: the enthusiasm seen as years of democratic recovery since the dictator's death until late in the second term of the PSOE, where it would establish the "syndrome absolute majority", named for Villaespesa Sea from the pages of the magazine Art International Arena.
This exhibition presented here is organized from a number of magazines that run throughout the chronological period studied, succeeding each other or overlapping and having, also, a strong Andalusian presence, either because they were edited here, or because they were directed or decisive participation of artists and critics in its conception.
Thus a chronological order that starts from positions on the fringes of what was then considered contemporary art and aesthetics had strong dose response continues, sexual and social through publications New lens and Víbora (with the presence of Jorge Rueda and Nazario, respectively). It continues with Separata, where Jacobo Cortines, Gerardo Delgado, José Ramón Sierra and Juan Suárez, inter alia, la configuraron, Figure to reach by submitting works of Guillermo Pérez Villalta and Chema Cobo (covers two numbers), but also the generation of artists associated with the first moment of the Spanish machine and the magazine itself as Rafael Agredano, Paneque and Patricio Guillermo Cabrera. Last, The tour ends with the aforementioned International Art Arena, directed by Mar Villaespesa, Kevin Power and José Luis Brea in the late 80, by works from the collection of Agustín Parejo School of CAAC, Rogelio López Cuenca, Pepe Espaliú, Federico Guzmán and Pedro Mora.
