También creo que el sindicato del personal doméstico hace más por las criadas que una obra de teatro. He tratado de escuchar una voz profunda que los negros y las demás criaturas no consiguieron hacer oír. Un crítico dijo que “las criadas no hablan así”. Hablan así. Pero sólo conmigo y a media noche. Si me dijeran que los negros no hablan así, contestaría que escuchamos más o menos eso si pegamos la oreja a su corazón. Debemos saber escuchar lo que no se formula.” Jean Genet
