Dance cycle concludes with the stellar performance of the National Ballet of Spain (Bhne) will present Sorolla, a beautiful show that combines the recovery of folk dances with a desire for renewal that invokes the exciting vision of the country of one of the greatest creative talents of Spanish history: the painter Joaquin Sorolla. About the brainchild of the director of BNE, Antonio Najarro, the show is inspired by the collection “Vision of Spain” Joaquin Sorolla, in fourteen large panels, He painted in 1911 commissioned by the Hispanic Society of New York to develop his personal vision of the country, their customs and dances. From this evocation, the show displays a bright light exercise, color and movement serving a choreography of extraordinary plasticity.

Released in Madrid in June 2013, Sorolla presents a striking choreography signed by Arantxa Carmona, Miguel Fuente, Manuel Liñan and Antonio Najarro and sports a start-scenes subyagante Franco Dragone, one of the creators of Cirque du Soleil, and costume design by Nicolas Vaudelet that have been acclaimed by critics and audiences.

Both costumes, 250 costumes made especially, as lighting and staging suggest a onlirica and fantastic vision of Spanish culture, seen through the eyes of Sorolla.
