Italy, cradle of musical styles and trends throughout history, has had and still has a primary role in the development of aesthetic trends of the 20th and 21st centuries. Authors like Berio, Ninth, Donatoni or Scelsi are keys to understanding the music we listen to today throughout the western world. Likewise, Today, an already mature generation of composers coexists who drank directly from those great masters with another very strong generation of young Italian composers..
Names like Sciarrino, Castiglioni, Solbiati or Manca, indispensable to continue the line of musical development in Italy and all of Europe, they are directly followed by composers of the new generation already internationally recognized, authors like Daniela Terranova or Lucia Ronchetti joining that line.
This program is not intended to be an exhaustive tour of those names, but rather a little walk through the Italian music of the last century, where you can enjoy a tiny sample of Italian musical art, always attractive and suggestive. Definitely a step for the beautiful Italy today.
