Cirque du Soleil extends its stay in Seville with new functions of LUZIA

Thanks to the warm reception he is receiving from the Andalusian public on his return to the stage, Cirque du Soleil once again extends its stay in Seville with LUZIA, the explosion of light and rain imagined by the prestigious stage director Daniele Finzi Pasca. As of today, tickets can be purchased for the new dates of this show with which the Canadian company invites the public to enjoy the Big Top installed in the Charco de la Pava from of 3 February until 26 March 2023. Before Seville, LUZIA has been in Madrid until the past 22 January, where it has become Cirque du Soleil's most watched tent show in the capital to date with more than 240.000 spectators.

With impressive acrobatics and great visual surprises, LUZIA invites the audience to immerse themselves in a dreamlike journey through a vibrant and sumptuous world suspended somewhere between the real and the unreal. Slipping through an old movie set, the vast ocean, a smoky ballroom or the barren desert, LUZIA stage many places, faces and sounds of Mexico, mixing tradition and modernity. In addition, the show captivates by incorporating –for the first time in a touring production by Cirque du Soleil– the rain in the artistic proposal, creating exceptional moments.

In 2023, Cirque du Soleil will comply 19 years of tours in Andalusia. In these nearly two decades, a million and a half spectators have attended his shows and in Seville alone his productions have been seen by 867.000 almas. Over 600 functions that have created a close relationship between the Canadian company and the Andalusian public. Now, this love story continues with the return of Cirque du Soleil to Seville with LUZIA, who has already visited Barcelona, Alicante and Madrid with great critical and public success.

Created and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, this show transports us to the heart of an imaginary Mexico. A place out of a dream, where the light (the “LUZ” of the title) calms the spirit and the rain pampers us.
