"The materialist pragmatism and dehumanization of the era 'modern' ..."

"The Canterville Ghost" tells the adventures of a materialistic and modern American family, it moves to an old mansion in the English countryside, which it is enchanted by the spirit of evil ancestor of Canterville, Sir Simon Canterville. Although the ghost takes 300 years terrorizing the inhabitants of the house, the unfortunate specter suddenly faced indifference and pragmatism of Otis, the eccentric American family. The ghost becomes a victim and the Otis family fun and involuntary stalker Sir Simon, especially small and hooligans twins, that continue to make the impossible existence.
