Seville is a city full of charm, steeped in history, where we can find an endless number of beautiful spots must visit. One of them, where Love is in the environment, is the monument to Gustavo Adolfo Becquer. This monument is located in the Maria Luisa Park Seville, making roundabout between the roads that make up the park.

It is going through this beautiful monument and stop time. Around the striking sculpture, They are a set of banks that allow you to stop for a few minutes, take a seat and enjoy the sculpture and environment offered by the park full of greenery and flowers that recreates an idyllic picture that keeps in her heart hollow poetry and love. The sound of birds, water sources, the wind caressing your face…a delight.

Marble sculpture, declared of Cultural Interest, is composed of the bust of the poet Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, three women sitting on a bench symbolizing the three states of love (the "excited love", the "possessed love" and "love lost") and two bronze figures symbolizing the wounded love (A man writhes in pain) and love hurts (A young cupido)

Love happens
"Invisible atoms air

the earth trembles exhilarated.

This work began with the initiative of the Alvarez Quintero, Becquer fans, they wrote a play called The eternal rhyme to finance much of the monument. These together with the sculptor Lorenzo Collaut Valera chose this area Maria Luisa Park and inaugurated 9 December 1911 in honor of the poet.
