Seville City Council, has published today the bases for the development of the activity of renting electric scooters on public roads.

Two companies will be selected to operate in the city with a maximum effective volume of 1.000 units each and for a trial period of 18 months.

The period for submitting offers will open as soon as these bases are published in the Official State Gazette and a period of one month will open..

They are available from today on the website of the Urban Planning Management and the Seville City Council.

Requirements and demands are also set for the participation of collaborating companies.

“Personal mobility vehicles are a sustainable and safe option that will take on special relevance at this time after the health crisis we have suffered and as a complement to the use of public transport and bicycles”.

No company will be authorized to implement a personal mobility vehicle rental system in the city.

The government's goal, is that a similar procedure will be developed in parallel for electric bicycle rental companies, with the aim of promoting personal mobility systems, in an orderly and regulated way, as safe and sustainable transport systems around the city.
