El Rocío opens its doors for the first time after the pandemic

The door of the hermitage and the balconies of the village are filled with flowers in honor of the “White Dove”.
The town of Almonte prepares for a different dew, that although it is not celebrated, it is still El Rocío and it is celebrated as it can be.
It would have already been the transfer of the Virgin from Almonte to the Aldea del Rocío accompanied by thousands of people.
The Virgin will remain in Almonte until next year.
Today would have been a great day for devotees of the”Divine Shepherdess” and so, the hermitage of the Virgen del Rocío, which has opened its doors after more than two months.
Dawn yesterday adorned with a mural of the Virgin on her door, dressed as a shepherdess and surrounded by rosemary, lentisco, palms and bougainvillea, made by the Cultural Association Flores para la Pastora.
The opening of the sanctuary has caused many faithful to come to the village and perceive a “controlled boil”
The sanctuary has been opened on a reduced schedule, of 10:00 a 14:00 and 17:00 a 19:00 hours, always complying with safety and hygiene measures.
The residents of El Rocío have also decorated their houses and balconies.
From their homes they celebrate the cults of the 20:00 in the afternoon that is broadcast through YouTube and Facebook.
