Erwin Blumenfeld is a German photographer who from the beginning within the Dada movement evolves into surrealism, and after fleeing Nazism to the US is you become the fashion photographer who is behind the big covers Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan... His figure is essential to define the visual culture of fashion, which it becomes one of the key elements to understand the society of the second half of the twentieth century, between 1940 and 1969. This exhibition shows a selection of color photographs of their work for this sector, where it appears a highly original artist, that revolutionizes the way to look at it from their experience with the vanguards.
