Why did mammoths disappear from the face of the Earth? How did they live? How did they interact with the humans of the time? Come and find out in this exhibition.

Delve into the life of these fantastic animals through a spectacular fossilized skeleton and hyper-realistic sculpture, among other pieces.

Mammoths, an extinct genus of proboscid mammals - order of which only one family remains today, that of elephants - lived with humans thousands of years ago. Some species, like the woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius), shared with our ancestors in Siberia an extreme ecosystem marked by the Ice Age.

In this exhibition we investigate the life of these fantastic animals that appeared on Earth about a few years ago 5 million years and became extinct about four millennia ago. There were several species of mammoth distributed by different areas of the planet. The last to disappear was the woolly mammoth, of which very well preserved remains have been found. Was its extinction due to climate change or was it exterminated by humans? Is it still a mystery?
