Just as the game known as Archimedes Stomachion could be solved in various ways without altering the result, Ruben Guerrero poses, with this his second solo exhibition at the gallery Rafael Ortiz, the suspicion that each image contains multiple and different formal translations, understanding that each is equally valid.

Accepting this premise, Guerrero poses a morphological exercise, strategic and Darwinian in the opposite direction to the usual process of sketching, Using in this case a resulting final work to propose, then, different versions of the same subject from far away painterly positionings. Thus are evident ways of doing and multiple mimetic possibilities and techniques, giving a conscious and deliberate style to the idea, as related to painting.

It is precise works, y laminated reconcentrated, in which paint is used almost as a building material. For this, the painter is served, significantly, architectural motifs found, fragments surfaces or sculptured reliefs which are inscribed, as if it were an intervention, simple geometric figures. This gives the work a dual character and equivocal, fostering a deferred second reading which refers to the popular series perspective correction de Jan Dibbets.
