The Seville City Council hosts the exhibition "Tablada fue el principio" for two weeks, that will show, in the heart of the city of Seville, the main milestones of the centenary history of the Tablada Air Station, cradle of aviation in Seville and germ of the aeronautical industry in Andalusia.

In the Plaza de San Francisco they remain exposed, for the enjoyment of citizenship, three aircraft that are part of the history of Aviation: the North American T-6G “Texan”, the Bücker Bü-133 Jungmeister and the Hispano Aviation HA-200 “Saeta”.

“La Dehesa de Tablada has brought pieces of history to the center of Seville, much of our present and our vision of the future”. With this sentence, Division General Enrique Jesús Biosca summarized the contents of an exhibition that can be visited until 30 October inside the Seville City Council headquarters. “A sample that seeks to bring Tablada closer to the city as an integral part of it”, as highlighted by General Biosca.

The delegate of the Interior and Major Festivals, Juan Carlos Cabrera, He stressed, meanwhile, that "this exhibition is a unique opportunity to learn about the history of Tablada that is linked to the history of Seville itself and, above all, its importance as the germ of the aeronautical sector in our city. We want the City Council these days to become an appendage of the Barracks, a place to contemplate the long walk and the great milestones that Tablada has experienced throughout these 100 years".

In the exhibition you can enjoy the images of the first transoceanic air raids, The beginnings of the Andalusian aeronautical industry, sports aviation or Tablada as the municipal airport of Seville.

You can also admire the models donated by the Enaire Foundation, the Museum of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Air Force Units located in the province of Seville, that provide thematic panels on the history of Tablada, as well as models, dioramas, watercolors, photographs and different aeronautical material.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday during business hours. 10:00 a 14:00 and 16:00 a 20:00 hours, and on Sundays and holidays only in the morning. A QR code will be available at the entrance with information about the contents of the exhibition.
