Moleiro honors, in Seville, to theV CENTENARY OF THE FIRST circumnavigation of the Earth, a human feat unparalleled in the history of mankind, sponsored by the Spanish Crown. The setting is unmatched: Real Alcázar, former headquarters of the casa de contratación, where the forwarding was prepared. The exhibition unveils the knowledge and cartographic unknowns that caused this trip.

They will be exhibited from 16 May 30 June more than twenty magnificent medieval and Renaissance bibliographic treasures, as the Atlas Miller (1519), mapping the most important monument of all time, an intriguing and mysterious atlas, by order of Manuel I of Portugal to convince so cryptic to his brother Carlos I of the infeasibility of the project Magallanes and avoid so this trip will be held under the Spanish flag.

In addition, day 16 May, an inaugural conference will be held entitled "1519-1522: the new image of the world. TheAtlas Miller and the first circumnavigation of the Earth "given by Pablo Emilio Pérez-Mallaina, Professor of American History, US.
