A look at the representation of the Portuguese Fado art comes to document the deep-rooted gender at national level, well as mainstreaming representation, as an object of fascino and inexhaustible citation and artistic recreation by successive generations of artists, in the box different disciplines, motivations and aesthetic constraints, ideological or symbolic.

Degree in History, branch of Art History, by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (1996).
Graduate Regional and Local History at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (1997). D.E.A. University of Vigo (2006).
PhD from the Institute of Art History of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon.
Fado Museum director, It was part of the scientific committee of the Candidacy of Fado to the Representative List of intangible cultural heritage (UNESCO)
