Fado Festival. Exposure. Fado in Portuguese Art. Consulate of Portugal in Seville

Fado representative exposure produced by the Fado Museum and the EGEAC.

The sample, which will be on display during the Festival, It has the theme: "Fado in Portuguese Art".

In the Portuguese art of the XIX-XXI centuries, with echoes in the collective celebration of the exceptional value of Fado as an identifier symbol of the city of Lisbon, its deep roots in the cultic tradition and history of the country, its role in the affirmation of cultural identity, its importance as a source of inspiration and cultural dialogue between peoples and communities.

In light of the visual representation of Fado, we can unravel the path of evolution and spread of urban song in different chronological periods that led to its genesis and implementation nineteenth century in Lisbon, through its institutionalization in the first quarter of the twentieth century, to take over the role we recognize him today, while the brand image in full affirmation on the international circuit of World Music.
