'Route of Don Quixote' Azorin, November Theater Company
Theater. Eduardo Vasco is staging for the first time these chronicles written by Azorín in 1905.
We read Don Quixote despite Spain, this it is the sad reality. No more than you observe the treatment-not talk about budgets- that the figure of Shakespeare is receiving from Albion have this double centenary. While crossing the channel a party to the English bard alive proposed, -excepciones illustrious us apart-we are where we have always been: far from Cervantes.
What is the reason that in our country we are unable to find a voice, a common way to develop culture? What motivates this endemic inaction on what should constitute the basis of our sensitivity? How might succeed again and again that "crazy and baldía exaltation" that leads us to build absurd buildings, addressing future projects without losing our energies in trying?
These are some of the issues raised in Azorín 1905 with the chronicles that sends El Imparcial when traveling through the Channel, within the framework of that other centenary. The writer describes that Spain while trying to guess the Cervantes, and read Don Quixote while looking around.
We think it's worth bring to the scene, to hear his extraordinary prose and reflections over a hundred years back to fret. Also because his love is contagious book Cervantes and now it seems a beautiful task: try to revisit the viewer Don Quixote thanks to the stimulus azoriniano.
We have tried to make our, as we usually, This text so beautiful that somehow is also something of you. And to be closer to Cervantes and Don Quixote read again, even a counterflow anachronism in this country of Pasamontes and cardenios.
