scientific conference on Magallanes and Sevilla for the commemoration of the V Centenary of the first round the world.

The reason for the conference is to study the eve of the trip Fermando Magallanes and Huan Sebastian Elcano. Why in the Alcázar of Seville? Because this historical monument witnessed the preparations that were made in Sevilla.

The conference will consist of a series of lectures, the days 7, 8 and 9 May, from 18:00 to 19:45 hours. Magallanes will be investigated and their arrival in Portugal to Seville, the role of the Royal Dockyards in Atlantic navigation; Magellan personality, the result of the quest for your family, and documentation about the character and his great project preserved in the Archive of the Indies. Access to the conference will be to fill seats. Admission will be by the Patio de Banderas.

The set of experts involved in this historical enclave be Rui Loureiro, Juan Gil, Pablo Emilio Pérez Mallaina, Salvador Albert Bernabeu, Enriqueta Vila Vilar and Manuel Ravina. In addition, the conference will feature the collaboration of the University of Seville and scientific coordinators of the stature of Juan Gil and Enriqueta Vila.
