World music and dances in Districts and Civic Centers Sevilla

'World Music and dance’ is a proposal of ICAS to be held in the neighborhoods of Seville in collaboration with Districts and Civic Centers. It aims to create spaces of intercultural encounter as reference palpable diversity, pluralism, cohabitation and mutual enrichment.

During the month of May and early June we travel through the rhythms of 7 great cultures: funky, india, Cuban, African, Zing, Brazilian and Eastern, at the rate of one culture by quarter. His stellar venue are 7 city ​​squares, on Saturdays and Sundays 12:30 a 14:00 hours, in addition to this year 7 Civic centers where they will perform 14 Concert Talks, 2 by center, one at 12 Morning aimed at schools and another at 20 hours aimed at associations, civic organizations and the general public.

Why music and dance? Because undoubtedly they bring us closer to a world without language barriers, a world in which cultural differences are no longer a source of discord, becoming reasons and arguments for the meeting, tolerance and solidarity.

The activity in each square will start an exhibition, and then address two separate educational and participatory workshops introduction to the rhythms and dances of the culture of which concerned. Ending with an exhibition and celebration of music and dance with the active participation of the public.

ICAS launched this proposal 2016 with 8 Sevilla districts and many people of all ages could enjoy the rhythms of other cultures, as seen in the video highlights via this link.
