The Barenboim-Said Foundation Orchestra bids farewell to the year at its annual event at the Teatro de la Maestranza and celebrates its twentieth anniversary at the same time., a double celebration with your audience. In a program that takes us to Berlioz, Mendelssohn and Brahms the orchestra will surprise us with the direction of one of the great women of the musical scene, the Ukrainian teacher Oksana Lyniv, musical director of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, who comes to Seville for the first time. Lyniv is the first woman to have directed at the prestigious Bayreuth Festival in its more than 140 years of history and the first female director of an Italian opera house.

The concert features Michael Barenboim as violin soloist after having performed in Berlin, Vienna, London or Los Angeles, under the direction of Dudamel. He is concertmaster of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, professor of chamber music at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin and professor of violin at the Barenboim-Said Foundation, located in Seville.
