El retablo de Maese Pedro

Manuel de Falla (1876-1946) receive 1918 commissioned Princess Polignac to compose a work for puppet theater based on an episode of Don Quixote. Five years later, in 1923, and its premiere took place almost a century later, University of Sevilla, Conservatory of Music Manuel Castillo, School of Dramatic Art and Teatro de la Maestranza join forces to recreate this musical and theatrical adventure as incredible as true. This academic collaborative project aims to distinguish themselves as the beginning of a close and fruitful collaboration of these four institutions

The musical structure of the Altarpiece is a single act divided into 8 fragments:
