King San Fernando's devotion dates back to his childhood. His mother, seriously ill, entrusted to the Virgin in a monastery in Burgos. His pleas were heard and as an adult, shortly before conquering Seville, The monarch asked that a Virgin be sculpted to enter the city with her. That's where the legend was born. San Fernando dreamed of the face of the carving and tried to have it reproduced faithfully, but no sculptor could do it. One day two young people appeared and accepted the challenge.. The king provided them with the necessary tools and left them alone. When someone from the palace went to check if everything was going well, discovered that the young men were not carving. On the contrary, They prayed in the midst of a great glow. When San Fernando arrived, the young people had already left, leaving the Virgin that San Fernando had dreamed of. He never knew who the mysterious young people were.
