The Minister of Education and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, announces that the Seville Cartuja Stadium will compete with Portugal to host the World Cup 2030.

“In that Iberian candidacy between Spain and Portugal that aspires to organize the World Cup 2030 La Cartuja is a candidate for this bet”.

“We have the illusion of recovering that installation, put it in value, to respond to all the efforts that all Andalusians made to make a five-star installation possible”, He stressed.

An investment of 15 million euros is planned in these four years in which the final of the Copa del Rey will be hosted.

Only hosting such a match will have an economic impact in Seville of some 47 millions of euros.
