'Love's Labours Lost' by William Shakespeare
"Love's Labours Lost" (Love’s Labour’s Lost) It is one of sitcoms that William Shakespeare wrote in his early years, to him 1595. Tells the story of the King of Navarre and three of his knights, who decide to retreat to the castle of King for three years to devote to scholarship and study, avoiding female contact during that time. The arrival at the castle of the Princess of France and three of her ladies break the determination of the Knights, leading to the confrontation between the votes to remain abstinent, and seduction that involves breaking the oath to be carried away by the attractions of love.
Studies suggest that the work was losing popularity over time, reaching considered, during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, of the least valued works of British author. However, from the twentieth century there was a spike in the exhibition and assembly of this text, with productions of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, and television adaptations, radio and film, among which the musical version Kenneth Branagh brought to the big screen in the year 2000.
