INCLUSIVE FLAMENCO WORKSHOP
Offer: Jose Galán
Sevilla Spain-

Flamenco workshop aimed at people with and without disabilities, members of the Companies that participate in the Choreographic Contest.

Inclusive flamenco was born out of the need to fill a cultural void within the performing arts. The freedom of an oppressed dance, that does justice to a historical past of flamenco full of artists with disabilities such as La Sordita de Jerez, Henry the Hump, the Lookout, Felix the Crazy or Enrique the Lame.

Nowadays, This "reincarnated truth" is found again in a shared space in which each one offers their artistic potential, We learn from each other from a collective feedback and discover in the best of cases hidden skills or other capacities of people with functional diversity - by being immersed within a community art-.

Offers the opportunity to "make visible what is possible" thanks to inclusive work. It is therefore, so it has a social character; because it involves the representation of all citizens by proposing new and diverse ways of seeing art, from a different and renewed vision.

With flamenco a window of communication with the outside world is opened that does not require elaborate words, but to express emotions through the art of movement.
